Music[edit]

This article needs information about the music such as compositional or production techniques or instrumentation. Hyacinth 04:33, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There should also be mentioned that the song sounds very much like New Order's "Blue Monday" from 1983! The melody and rhythm are the same! (see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power,_Corruption_%26_Lies 2008 bonus disc) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.77.223.215 (talk) 07:07, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The car that Kylie is driving[edit]

Isn't that a De Tomaso Mangusta? // s4ndp4pper 16:43, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is. // s4ndp4pper 16:45, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can the colour description of the car be changed? The word mustard has been spelt as mustared by some idiot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.145.80.149 (talk) 03:35, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Added in a bit of info[edit]

I put in the bit about the album going gold on Oct 26, 2006. I got the info on the RIAA website

Influence of video[edit]

The video section contains this claim: "It was considered largely responsible for the song gaining rapid airplay in each territory in which it was released." This needs a citation if it's going to stay; purely on the face of it, this seems unlikely, as at this point a new Kylie song was likely to get rapid airplay in lots of territories owing to her existing high profile. It might be true in the US (for instance), but again, we'd need an actual citation. I'll likely remove this sentence in a week or so if one doesn't emerge. Gusworld 08:54, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No takers, so I've removed the offending sentence. Gusworld 16:51, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In about late 2001-early 2002 I saw couple of times some animated music video on VH1 that featured certain images influenced by Kylie's "Can't Get You Out of My Head" music video that featured a female dressed in look-alike white suit. Can anybody remember that video? I need to recall performer and title. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ledpoison1 (talkcontribs) 10:07, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

France Certification[edit]

Sales for France are wrong. A platinum equals to 250.000 copie. Look here. --2811Butterfly (talk) 12:19, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

you should check all certifications in Europe, have entered the albums sales not singles --2811Butterfly (talk) 12:24, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I read through it. In the top left hand corner of the first page of this document, it says "Updated March 2011". Are you sure that these certification levels were the same in 2001/2002? I Help, When I Can. [12] 12:31, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer: Zanimum (talk · contribs) 01:36, 20 November 2013 (UTC) I'll review. -- Zanimum (talk) 01:36, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Passing "Composition", "Music video", "Formats and track listings", "Charts", "Certifications", "Further reading".

Background and recording

  • While it's natural to have the pull quote at the top of a section, the content of the quote is referenced in the second paragraph. I'd suggest moving the quote box down there, or perhaps even making it an indented quote in the actual text.
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Critical reception

  • Shouldn't it be square brackets for the inserted words in quotes, as opposed to parenthesis?
Oh yes, I've changed them now.  Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • If a quote uses quotation marks, those quotation marks are 'downgraded to these ones'.
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The italic word "Sessions" leans too far into "version", when there's just a hyphen. En-dash?
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why is Slant Magazine not italicized?
The Wikipedia page for Slant Magazine does not italicise it, and I think it is because it's an online publication and not print media. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Live performances

  • Is setlist really one word?
The WP page on "setlist" says it is referred to in single word form too. If you want I can change it to "set list" too.

External links

  • So Kylie doesn't have a page devoted to the song/single?
Added that. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There's a start, a few more sections yet to be read/reviewed, and then of course a reference check. -- Zanimum (talk) 18:33, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mostly an "all clear" from Checklinks. They only find six "Uncategorized redirects", all the of the rest of the sites are still alive and ticking. Basically, just follow the links on this results page, and use those URLs as the replacement. The new URL is usually just a few character different. -- Zanimum (talk) 18:58, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

 Done all. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Passing "Background and recording", "Critical reception" (interesting re: Slant), "Live performances" (no no, if the WP page says setlist is valid, I have no reason to contest), "External links".

Thanks! --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:15, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial performance

  • Any chance you can find any stats for Canada, for this section or "Charts"?
Nope, I tried a lot of sources and I couldn't find anything. Maybe it didn't chart in the country. I even checked the Canadian certifications database, and the song doesn't seem to have any certification, pretty unlikely for a song like this, so maybe it didn't chart after all. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:15, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy

  • I'm wondering if "Noughties" should be wikilinked? Even though I recognized it, I'm not sure how universal this term is.
Okay I wikilinked it. I don't think I can change the word as it is the name of the list. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:15, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Images, sound licensing Passing.

References Seem to all be in order. -- Zanimum (talk) 18:38, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Curious that it's not in the Canadian certifications database. I'm certain that it was featured in CHUM FM television ads for a while. Anyway, I can't say you didn't try to look.

Everything seems to be in order, otherwise, so passing! -- Zanimum (talk) 21:50, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so so much for conducting such a clean and useful review! The nomination had been lying around for so long I thought it might end up in the backlog! Thanks for taking up the review again! --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 05:19, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
