Subject of article[edit]

This page is about a particular Lodge (The Rio Grande Masonic Lodge} in Brownsville, Texas not about Masonic Lodges in general it is a historic landmark and thus noteworthy. --F15 sanitizing eagle (talk) 02:59, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Either the article is about the building or the lodge. If it is about the lodge then it fails WP:ORG. If it is about the building then it is mis-named and should be renamed Cameron County Courthouse (building). Since you have not renamed the article, I shall be again redirecting. ttonyb (talk) 03:20, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There has been an RFC about this issue applied to another Masonic Lodge building/chapter duality. See

Talk:Pythagoras Lodge No. 41, Free and Accepted Masons#RFC - What is the scope of this article?. Anyhow, this article can and should be about both the group/chapter and about its historic building. No need to imply that separate articles are needed. About the historic register listing of this building, can someone share some info though? I am not finding where it is listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Maybe it is on a Texas state register? I would like to add historic site infobox and other to this article, if possible. --doncram 21:16, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The original Cameron County Courthouse from 1882 is not on the NRHP, but is a Registered Texas Historic Landmark, meaning it has a Texas historic marker on the property, erected 1962. I may even have an image of it. Let me check my archives... 25or6to4 (talk) 21:30, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As this building is not on the NRHP, I changed the infobox back to historic site, and added the Registered Texas Historic Landmark designation. Generic1139 (talk) 21:06, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
