Poison[edit]

Is it possible that Caladium could be edible if cooked? I believe most Xanthosoma, Alocasia, and Colocasia species are poisonous or irritating when raw, but wholesome when cooked. — Pekinensis 14:52, 29 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Popularity today?[edit]

I was hoping to find some info re why they have greatly declined in gardening/landscaping appearances the past couple decades. They used to be almost ubiquitous here in Florida; almost a cliche. Now, they are never found;often replaced by crotons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CF99:2080:117A:E349:3CAD:DFEC (talk) 00:28, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
