I know Vision of Britain has Christchurch CP being part of Caerleon UD from 1894 but this [1] puts it in Magor RD. The census tables in VoB are inconsistent, giving the area of Caerleon Ud as identical to Caerleon CP, with Christchurch CP listed also. Did the residue of Christchurch CP pass to Caerleon UD in 1935? Lozleader 20:24, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly. That archives link states that "Magor RDC was abolished in 1935 and was mostly absorbed by the new Magor and St Mellons RDC". Although there was a Newport [Monmouthshire] Extension Act (24 & 25 Geo. 5 c. lvii) in 1934 which may have accounted for the rest. Owain (talk) 09:14, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
