Name[edit]

What's with this 'translation' of the Welsh name of the hill as 'white-rick chair'? The authoritative Dictionary of the Place-names of Wales (Owen & Morgan, Gomer Press 2007) translates 'Berwyn' as 'white summit' ('bar' + 'gwyn') hence Cadair Berwyn would be the 'chair [of the] white summit'.
