Style?[edit]

This article doesn't seem very encyclopedy-ish to me....

Indeed, it isn't. The style of text seems more like a badly translated corporation flyer. In my opinion this page should be removed or altogether rewritten, because it is neither objective nor neutral in it's tonesetting.Dutchsatellites.com 12:32, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, it's atrocious. What's more, it has also no useful information ... I wanted a list of french astronauts. What the hell is a space power? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.12.12.83 (talk) 20:27, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I took a couple of photos of the CNES facility in Toulouse when I was there for meetings. I've uploaded them for use on this page if someone wants to integrate them properly:

I thumbnailed the giant picture in this talk page, I'll also add the first one to the article somewhere. 82.231.41.7 (talk) 15:04, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why? Anyway, this article has almost no references, a simple google could pull many of the references up. There are also so-called 'stupid laundry list' that need to be organized in encyclopedic form. I have no idea whether its neutral or not, but it is referenced from wiki's main page, so it ought to exist. Work on the form of the article first, referencing, etc. and then work on the NPOV stuff, it'll be fine.Pdeitiker (talk) 03:51, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why what ? Two pictures illustrating the subject were posted in the talk page in 3,072 × 2,304 size with a request to integrate them properly in the article so I resized those in the talk page and integrated one in the article. 82.231.41.7 (talk) 14:52, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the stuff on GEIPAN is already mentioned on another page. So that most (80%) of the information on UFO surveylance can be moved (or has already been placed) in the GEIPAN page.Pdeitiker (talk) 20:24, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cats[edit]

The section "History" says "1963 Cats launched into space via Véronique rockets.". Does "Cats" mean the miaow animal, or what? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 17:29, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

'Cats' is indeed meant as meowing furball types. Rats and monkeys were also sent to space on Véronique rockets. Equendil Talk 01:06, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
