I removed the links to IRC networks CGI:IRC clients and replaced with with the CGI:IRC client at ictoadd.com which can connect to any network - there's a list of IRC networks in IRC already. I replaced the paragraph of features with a few bullet points - I'm not even sure if we need a list of features here anyway? JamiePenmanSmithson 17:32, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Maybe there should be a page that's like, List of CGI IRC instances that connect to FreeNode - that would help Wikipedia contributors, since #Wikipedia is on FreeNode. - -Nerd42 (talk) 20:35, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:CGIIRC screenshot.png

Image:CGIIRC screenshot.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Other programs

Are there other web-based programs that may be used to connect to IRC servers? The article does not make it awfully clear, and if there are others (and there are articles about them) - They could possibly be linked in the article. On a sidenote, I tried downloading the CGI:IRC program, and it seems to require UNIX - This article mentions nothing about operating systems as far as I can see. 85.166.75.123 (talk) 19:17, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

You might try the small list in Web chat. This article (and many others that cover similar clients) need quite a bit of work but it's a slow process. --Tothwolf (talk) 19:26, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
