Employees

someone recently changed the number from 82 to 88 without giving a source or reason. after some digging on the internet i found this (55) figure from 6 september 2005 and will put that there now. please if you change it give a source for your findings. Boneyard 14:54, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Agreed, it would be great if the number could be cited however I do believe that it is higher than 55 as 6 September is before CCP moved offices and thus were able to do a huge amount of hireing in a short space of time. I am currently trying to get some more details about CCP including the number of employes in the differing locations and hopefuly a total figure. Richard Slater 15:42, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

i contacted the person who changed the employees from ~60 to 82 recently and asked him if he could cite a source for that. as he plays eve and is from iceland he might have some good source. Boneyard 16:26, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for the late response, but yeah, the 24th of January 2006 so called "UT Dagar" were held in Reykjavik Iceland, long story short, Hilmar V. Petursson the CEO of CCP held a little presentation about the game. To quote Hilmar: (translated from Icelandic) Right now we have 82 employees, 62 people working on the game, and extra 20 people working full-time in our support team. If there's any intrest you can visit http://straumur.nyherji.is/ut.asp and view the presentation by clicking View: Íslenskur sýndarveruleiki, although it's entirely in icelandic ;] I'm not sure where the number 88 came from, but I do know for a fact they're hiring some talents, so it's no suprise. China is a very big project. We realized that it would be big, but never this big! The China release was not supposed to have any effect on Tranquility - and to try and ensure that, we doubled the number of developers here at CCP. People

I've removed two names that have been recently added as I can't verify them. Thorolfur Beck as a co-founder produces only a single Google hit that points to a dead page. Charles Dane as Community Manager produces no hits at all. As with the employee numbers, these should be sourced if put back in. Thanks. -- JLaTondre 00:13, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

I have re-added Thorolfur Beck as a founder of CCP as the first result for his name is this site [1], containing the following passage - "Thorolfur Beck: Co-founder, Reynir Hardarson, and I, formally established CCP in the summer of 1997"

Privately Owned Company

No, I'm sorry mate. It is a public company. I was requested by the HRM on behalf of CCP to clean up this article some months ago and I got the Annual Report 2008 sent home and it clearly states on numerous pages that it is public.
