Moving[edit]

Both Butch Miller and Robert Miller are names of other articles in Wikipedia. The wrestler is far, far more commonly known as Butch Miller, so I will follow the guidelines in WP:NCP and move this article to Butch Miller (wrestler) tomorrow if no-one objects. -Conniption 17:08, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ron Miller[edit]

Robert Miller is NOT the same wrestler as Ron Miller. I agree - Ron Miller is an Australian legend and is not to be confused with this former Sheephearder. Some sites seem to have this error.

I have corrected that error in this entry, Butch Never teamed with Larry O'Day to form "the Australians" MPJ-DK 11:18, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

– These titles allow for natural disambiguation and are more recognisable. They are commonly referred to in this manner, e.g. Bushwhacker Luke's website, an article in The Sportster, the WWE website. Additionally, "Luke Williams" and "Butch Miller" are not the subject's real names, weakening the case for the current titles. McPhail (talk) 19:53, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - by far the WP:COMMONNAME Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 21:21, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support both articles. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 09:05, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per above. starship.paint (exalt) 13:44, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Not their real names. In fact, I'd say what their fictional last names are is outright trivial and certainly not common enough to be article titles. oknazevad (talk) 13:27, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Their run as The Sheepherders is pretty legendary but this provides natural disambiguation.LM2000 (talk) 10:53, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • NoteWP:ATDAB strongly suggests that parenthetical disambiguation should be a last resort rather than a first resort. Despite this being a policy and not a guideline, it doesn't have a whole lot of teeth when it's widely ignored throughout the encyclopedia and abundant evidence of that is everywhere. Furthermore, I'm wondering what's the point of having numerous siloed micro-discussions when the ultimate goal of each one is the same, namely that our article titles should conform to whatever agenda is being pushed today by Big Corporate Alphabet Soup Wrestling (e.g. WWE/WCW/AEW/etc.). The need to validate already-held biases, perhaps? RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 08:17, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
