Name[edit]

There is an error in the Burton Lane biography. He was born "Burton Levy" NOT "Morris Hyman Kushner."

I am his stepdaughter and so I know this is the case. The error came from a mistake in the Harvard Biographical Dictionary of Music. That source has other errors, by the way, but they do not matter for this Wikipedia entry.

I do not know if this is the proper way to correct this mistake. I have a Wikipedia account and an associated email if you want to get in touch with me personally. Yggeppeggy (talk) 20:21, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Belatedly, thank you for your comments. I have corrected the page, in line with other sources. Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:22, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Payola[edit]

Lane didn't try to combat "music piracy" as understood today so much as he fought payola (cf Alan Freed) and corruption. I'd like to add a section about it. Any thoughts? Matuko (talk) 18:25, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
