Merger[edit]

The two pages Burnt Church First Nation and Burnt Church 14 largely overlap. It would make sense to merge these into one page.

It is a lot of overlap, but it's a convention within Wikipedia to keep reserve/reservation and government articles separate, likewise from the community article and the ethno one; this invariably causes redundancies in some cases but in others it's very necessary; an Indian Reserve is a piece of land and gets a certain set of categories, a First Nation/band government is a government/administrative body, a community/settlement is a place that is on the land and which is governed by the administrative body. Just as a Mi'kmaq language page exists separately from Mi'kmaq or Mi'kmaq people, IR and FN articles are different concepts/topics.Skookum1 (talk) 16:06, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
