Merge with Clan Burnett?[edit]

The chief of Clan Burnett is 'Burnett of Leys'. So the Burnetts of Leys (the chief's family) aren't a branch of the clan, they are the clan. Branches of Clan Burnett, by definition 'branch' off the Burnett of Leys, right? Anyway, seems to me like this article should be merged and redirected to Clan Burnett.--Celtus (talk) 07:33, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Seems a no-brainer. However I would note that Clan Burnett is yet another clan article with copyvio problems - you might want to compare the early diffs of Nfras with the myclan.com page - whereas this article seems OK, so I guess we need to replace that one with this one, and then copyedit in some of the stuff from that one. Sigh - I've been taking a preliminary look at some of the clan articles and it seems most of them are copyvio hell courtesy of Nfras and Mjgm84/Psycotics1454, it's a complete mess.Le Deluge (talk) 14:39, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Problems that inadvertently made these two pages essentially on the same subject have been addressed to a large extent. The 'Clan Burnett' now House of Burnett page was based on a single source that confused the two and has since been replaced by a wider variety of references that verify they are not the same entity. Burnett of Leys is a branch of the House of Burnett and both pages now reflect that. Bearpatch (talk) 13:55, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
