Washington Monument

Under "See Also" is the Washington Monument, but there isn't any mention in either article about what they have to do with each other. They're both Revolutionary-War-related and look a lot alike, but did one specifically inspire the other? Were they designed by the same person or something? It would be nice to add a remark in one or the other article if they have some such connection. Otherwise, maybe the "See Also" should be removed.Originalname37 (talk) 18:01, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

There seems to be an odd phrase at the end of the first paragraph that cannot be edited: "Chris Trafton likes to suck it all night long!!". I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to be there.

"misnamed"?

I don't think the Battle of Bunker Hill should be characterized as being "misnamed", as this article presently does. It was named for the objective of the combatants, although most of the actual fighting took place on the adjacent Breed's Hill. William Ticknor wrongly cited?

I had noted that William Ticknor was listed in the article as the person credited with the idea of a monument. He was only 13 at the time of the Associations founding. I found on the site http://thomascranelibrary.org/legacy/history/hisch2.htm that William Tudor was the person credited with the concept. I'm hoping someone can confirm and correct as needed. Cornerstone

It says the directors laid the cornerstone but Lafayette performed the ceremony. What's the difference?
