Correct me if I'm wrong but I've noticed two inaccuracies:

1. Cardiac muscle is the only type of muscle that is myogenic. This is untrue. Other types of smooth muscle are capable of generating their own electrical impulses, namely the gastrointestinal system.

2. The term 'innervate' was used to describe the effect of purkinje fibres stimulating ventricular cells. 'Innervate' should only be used in the case of a neuron. Since purkinje fibres are not neuronal cells, this is not the correct term to use.

I'm only a first year Physiology student so I'm not sure if what I've said is accurate. Please comment.

Under Pathology, details on the clinical diagnosis of v-fib are perhaps unnecessary in an article about the bundle of His. Details about bundle-specific disorders like a third-degree block are still appropriate, however.

I'm made the changes suggested by Bsrancho, except that I don't know what to say instead of "innervate". Yakushima (talk) 07:32, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

11/14/2010 1. Correct, changed to provide electrical conduction.

2. Also correct arteriolar diameter is also influenced by myogenic autoregulation
