Adrian Street[edit]

Another famous person from the town of Brynmawr (no doubt conveniently forgotten) is Professional Wrestler 'Exotic' Adrian Street. He may be abnoxious and full of himself but he did move to the states and make it in Pro Wrestling.

-He was famous before he left for the US on British tv.

Adrian Street is now mentioned in the article. I remember well that my father placed Street in a shameful purgatorial category all of his own whenever he appeared on Saturday afternoons. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:42, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Semtex factory[edit]

I have removed the following sentence: It also now has a large supermarket on the old site of the Semtex factory which boosted the town's name and reputation over the last 50 years. as I'm unable to find any non-Wikipedia reference to this supposed factory. As Semtex is a brand-name high-explosive patented by the Czechoslovakian government I'd be surprised if there really had been such a factory in Brynmawr --Lost tourist 13:26, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I stand corrected, there was a Semtex factory in Brynmawr! --Lost tourist 21:24, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hyphen[edit]

User:Jammyjames60, this is English Wikipedia? Why does the article now begin with the Welsh variant of the name, at odds with the article title? Since when did Elwyn Davies' 1967 Rhestr o Enwau Lleoedd: A Gazetteer of Welsh Place-Names become the only source that decides how the name is written? Thanks.
