Merger[edit]

Agreed with the merger, though I believe the article should be called Imperial Tobacco Canada Limited v. Her Majesty the Queen in Right of British Columbia (or the simpler version thereof) as that is the title of the original case. It is cited by the Supreme Court as British Columbia v. Imperial Tobacco Canada Ltd because BC appealed the case and is listed as the appelant but the case began as, and essentially is, Imperial vs. BC as opposed to the opposite - Jord 15:15, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original action was BC suing Imperial Tobacco. LexisNexis as well as my textbooks all cite the case as BC v. Imperial Tobacco. Imperial Tobacco is infact the appellant. I think the title of this article ought to be changed.
