Date of death[edit]

The fire is known to have hit Kinglake late on 7 February, therefore this would be the date of death. Victims are only now being identified and reported. The Sky News article clearly says the fire razed their property on Saturday[2] 59.167.38.253 (talk) 10:59, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We can't assume that the date of the death was the day of the fire or even the cause of the death. We should use the date reported when the body was found and wait until the coroner findings. Bidgee (talk) 11:13, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The facts are clearly stated in the news report. Naylor is a victim of the fire. The fire burnt Kinglake West on Saturday 7 February. On 8 Feb were they confirmed dead after bushfires destroyed their property in Kinglake West, Victoria the previous day. Me too. I understand where Bidgee is coming from, and I'd normally support that, but in this case it would be absurd to think that he'd somehow escaped the fires on Saturday, only to be engulfed by them on Sunday. I suppose its possible that he and his wife were burned on Saturday, but didn't actually die till after midnight. I found a photo of him!![edit]

Up until today this article had no photo of Brian Naylor. Today by chance I found an old photo lying around and guess who was in it?? It was taken at a 1991 Camberwell High School re-union (which my father also went to). I scanned it and uploaded it just now. If anyone wants to clean up the image a bit, feel free. Well there is a problem ATM as the image page doesn't state who took the photograph (IE: Not who scanned it). If you didn't take the photograph and someone else did then the copyright is still owned by the photographer. We will no doubt need a email sent to OTRS from the copyright owner saying that they will release the photo under the GNU license or some other free such as a Creative Commons (CC-BY or CC-BY-SA) or a Public Domain license. Schooling[edit]

This article states that Brian went to Camberwell High until the onset of WW2 when the school was relocated to Balwyn High. There are two problems with this: (1) Camberwell High did not open until 1941 and (2) Balwyn High did not open until 1954. Other Wikipedia pages on these school histories report that Melbourne High students were relocated to Camberwell High during the war.
