Untitled[edit]

I switched the picture of the breechloaders from the Swedish Army Museum for the original pic. I don't see a problem with cropping the picture, but skewing the image in attempt to make them appear in profile is not really appropriate. Distortions images in that way is a disservice to the readers.

Merge Proposal[edit]

It is reasonable enough to want to merge these two articles into one, but the Swivel gun article is currently kind of a mess and there are orphaned and recursive links as a result of a half completed merge. The purpose of merging is to reduce confusion due to link sprawl, so I would suggest delaying a final merge until Swivel gun is cleaned up, because it looks like a dirty copy/paste right now, and that is not a merge.Jmackaerospace (talk) 16:21, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jmackaerospace, can you help out here be proposing an appropriate article heading structure? Neither article has a particularly good structure at the moment; makes them hard to merge. A proposal for a rough sketch would save a lot of experimenting and tinkering. Peter Isotalo 18:05, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that is why I didn't just jump in and start editing, the final article needs to be broken down into sections,
ie,
"swivel gun concept and definition"
"history"
"history: navel"
"history: land use"
"types"
"types: muzzle loading"
"types: breech loading"
as well as eliminating replicated information etc
That is all a lot of work, which is why I left it at reverting the redirect.
