Removed "...without city water services, and in 2006 is just getting its first housing development, "Chadds Ford". Also home to the subdivision Burch Hill Meadows". Historically the "first housing development" goes back to the late 19th century. There are quite a few housing developments in Brandywine. Maybe its the first in the 21st century, but that would go in "history" or a special "Developments" category, not the main description. Also, there are large parts of Brandywine that have city water. [Gwynn Park (T.B., Maryland)[edit]

It would be surprising if the high school were the historic area, even if it happens to be in the immediate vicinity. Tedickey (talk) 10:19, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, the historic site is Gwynn Park Manor. I will make that change. JoyceD (talk) 16:42, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brandywine District 11[edit]

This was added, but is incorrect. These voting districts were listed on the 1878 map, but are no longer valid. Also, the reference links were not providing that data. Most people identify unincorporated towns in Prince George's County by their zip code area, so I will edit this accordingly. Resources: polling places and County Council with Town names and Brandywine, Maryland map. JoyceD (talk) 19:36, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Industry and Transportation[edit]

Industry and Transportation are sections that could be created. I removed the following due to its incompleteness to start them. There are several transportation projects and industries in Brandywine.

Removed: Plans for development in 2016 include the PSEG Power Company's 755 megawatt power plant near North Keys Road, which is expected to open in 2019.[1] Reconstruction of the Route 5 - Brandywine Road intersection will also start in 2016.[2]
