scheduled closure[edit]

While I added a section titled scheduled closure, the Baltimore Sun article uses the phrase "Alternative Fuel Sources"...

the Sierra Club Statement uses the language

Perhaps the article should be modified to state "Talen has committed to developing storage at Wagner"?

The language of "Alternative Fuel Sources"leads one to think they will convert to biomass or gas but the Sierra Club press release seems to indicate they are making the site into storage.

Instead of what?[edit]

In the lede, it says "In April 2023, Talen notified grid operator PJM that they instead intended to close the station." The cited source is behind a pay wall. Seems like either "instead" should be deleted or something needs to be added to say what they planned to do before the instead decided to close the plant. Maybe the source makes that clear, but since I couldn't view that, I left it as is and am just noting it here. Purely editorially, I'd also suggest in place of "grid operator PJM" either "the grid operator, PJM," or "PJM, the grid operator,". — Salton Finneger (talk) 13:34, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind--I see the answer is below in the scheduled closure section. Rather than essentially duplicate the wording from the later section by clarifying what it is instead of, I'm just going to take out the "instead" to summarize what seems to be the key point of that section. —
