barciole[edit]

Just need to say that this is based on a wrong assumption:

The title is based on the dish of the same name, but The Wall Street Journal offered a different interpretation of the title, "The word braciole, by the way, translates from Italian as 'chops.' Does Carmy have the chops to lead and turn around the family restaurant? Does he have what it takes to move past his brother's tragic death?"[3]

Braciola does not mean 'chop', rather it's a derivative of 'brace' which means 'grill'. Braciola is a cut of meat that is supposed to be cut on the grill. As many time is the case with language and food, the cut ended up being used for many other things, and in the Neapolitan cuisine the braciola becomes a sort of 'involtino'.
