Why does this article exist?[edit]

It's a factoid, something that you'd find in an almanac. Most of the information can be obtained by eyeballing a detailed map of South America or Brazil. The actual lengths of the borders is trivia, should be in a sidebar, if present at all. If this article were useful, it'd contain information like

where are the borders? I.e. geophysical coordinates (I'm in the jungle, and don't know where they are)
how did they get to be that way (i.e. surveys, wars, natural boundaries, etc)
when did they get to be that way?
what do the borders look like (generally, they are some geographic feature)
some borders are still disputed, or not precisely known - these deserve detailed treatment
crossing stations - if we are crossing the border, where should we be, in order to keep travel papers in order
