Untitled[edit]

BOB and the Garmonbozia[edit]

I would like to bring into the discussion that while it is noted in the article as a fact that BOB feeds on garmonbozia it is really only a theory. It is never stated that BOB eats garmonbozia. BOB never references it during the series or film at all. It is stated that BOB eats fear and pleasure. It is never stated that the corn is anything but pain and sorrow. The article mentions an episode called "Tremors". No such episode exists.

I threw in some episode references and the film. All the info listed in the text can be found in one of these. As to whcih info goes with which 'sode, I don't know how to do in-line footnote citation here, and I really question whether it's necessary. thoughts? - geoffr111 11 February 2007.

The article states, as a fact, that Mike and BOB were once human, and that this human Mike cut off his arm. This is speculation. At the time of the Laura Palmer investigation, Mike did inhabit a human host with one arm. This man, Philip Gerard, was, at the most, in his early 50s. So, how could this be the same human who committed rapes and murders with KILLER BOB when BOB was already an inhabiting spirit when Laura's father Leeland Palmer, a man then in his 40s, was a child? The Spirit Mike did cut off his arm, but this might well refer to something altogether spiritual, as his arm is the Black Lodge spirit, the Little Man From Another Place. Perhaps someone more versed in Wikipedia policies and editing can correct and cite this, but Twinpeaks.org quotes Mark Frost (the co-creator of Twin Peaks) as having said that BOB is a Native American spirit who has existed since ancient times. Capitalization?[edit]

That is simply the way it is spelled around the internet and articles and such. I'm not sure if it's the official spelling that the writer's gave the character, but people seem to use BOB as an identifier so you know it's the Twin Peaks Bob. --Blackout0189 (talk) 18:06, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In the credits of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Bob is listed simply as 'Bob" not "BOB" (In the TV series Frank Silva is never listed by character name). How can the book "lead" when it wasn't published until 5 months after the show began? If the writing followed that books lead, it did so for only a short time — up until 2 years later in Fire Walk with Me — whereupon the case reverts back to lowercase Bob, per: that film's end credits. — Spintendo^Talk 20:37, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In 1990 the internet wasn't so well developed and things moved at a slower pace so a book published during the show's run was going to have a strong impact. Capitalisation in books is easier to check than film end credits and so the book was more likely to be followed as more and more people started writing about the show especially online. @JesseRafe: I think you missed the sarcasm in the edit summary. Look at the text:
