Blyth Power were named after a train, a class 56 '56134' to be exact, it's just that 56134 is named after Cambois Power Station, better known as Blyth Power Station. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.104.147.34 (talkcontribs)

I believe the band was named after a train which in turn was named after the power station..... ChrisTheDude (talk) 22:28, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There is a reference in the article - it links to a page that says the band was named after a steam engine - it was actually a diesel, see http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/bluebell/events/music.html, also http://www.blythpower.co.uk/lyrics/wicked-index.htm, and that was named after the power station, see http://www.therailwaycentre.com/Nemeplates/Book_PDFs/Names-B.pdf Snigbrook (talk) 00:35, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In addition to all my other changes, I removed the reference to one of their bext known songs being a version of Folsom Prison Blues, as I've seen the band nearly forty times and never heard them do that particular number.... ChrisTheDude 12:39, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if you're aware, but their cover of Folsom Prison Blues appears on the single version of Ixion. http://www.blythpower.co.uk/lyrics/ixion-index.htm I'd agree that it's not one of their best known songs though.

It was played solo by Joseph at a gig I was at - I could probably find out when if anyone cares Beestonsteve 20:23, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TV appearance[edit]

Re: the request for a citation for this - although I've got the programme myself on video, I can't find any internet-based references to it. Is there anything else that would suffice as a citation......? ChrisTheDude 15:09, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
