Please Make Me![edit]

It's about time an article was created pertaining to Vicarious Visions. I can't start this page myself as I work for the company, but it seems reasonable that we're big enough to warrant a page (since even Wisdom Tree has one). fruitofwisdom 06:04, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sweet. Thanks to whoever initiated the article. For employees of the company (like myself and a few others on the History page) please remember Wikipedia's guideline on autobiographies or any topic related directly to yourself. fruitofwisdom 13:48, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can anybody download a VV company logo for use on this page? Richiekim (talk) 14:45, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

VV Logo is Outdated[edit]

The Vicarious Visions logo featured on the Wikipedia page has long been outdated, as the company updated their logo and visual identity since December 2016.

Company status is merged/defunct[edit]

While the office is still in use by Blizzard and the team there is known as Blizzard Albany now, the company Vicarious Visions is no more. All of the press releases and sources make it clear that the studio was being merged and that the Vicarious team would now be direct employees of Blizzard. -- ferret (talk) 02:50, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Likely a misuse of the word "merged", and the press had already used when the company still had its own name back in January 2021. The NY Corporation and Business Entity Database lists "Vicarious Visions, Inc." not only as active, but also as having the assumed name of "Blizzard Albany" since 2022-02-11. The only registered merger is the 2005 one when Activision acquired the studio and "VV Acquisition, Inc." was merged into this company. IceWelder [] 07:58, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I guess we'll see in August when it seems they have to file again. -- ferret (talk) 13:04, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fleshing out of historical naming[edit]

I'm not sure how one would go about doing this best, but I'm curious - In the article, there are several references to the original name ("Intrinsic Graphics") but no mention of that officially BEING the name, and it isn't a link - so people reading the article will likely not know what Intrinsic Graphics is. However, "Intrinsic Graphics" does redirect here, without any explanation of why.

I only know because I was reading an article [1] about Michael Jones, who was involved with the founding of Intrinsic Graphics. kvidell (talk) 03:43, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Name change?[edit]

Since the studio is no longer called Vicarious Visions but instead Blizzard Albany, surely the page should be changed (moved) and called "Blizzard Albany" to reflect this? Feels like it would make sense to me but wanted to gage opinions here first before doing so. Segavisions1991 (talk) 10:08, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that makes sense. Mitchy Power (talk) 12:10, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, should Spiderman 2000 be on the list of Vicarious Visions games?[edit]

Hey, so should Spiderman 2000 be listed here, as it was developed by Neversoft and Vicarious Visions only worked on the sequel Enter Electro? 2A02:C7E:3001:1C00:44D3:3D95:F99D:5D05 (talk) 08:55, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

According to the game's article, Vicarious Visions developed the GBC version, as is listed in this article. IceWelder [] 17:34, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
