Song from 1945 or 1946[edit]

The film "Blithe Spirit" has at least two performances of "I will always love you forever" - - once in the middle of the film, and once as the credits roll down the screen.

I bought a CD with music by Richard Addinsell but can't find the song in question. The CD lists music that was "reconstructed" by Philip Lane from the film (because legend has it that the original sheet music was burnt, rather than submitted for copyright protection.

If Richard Addinsell wrote "I will always love you forever" there must be some way of confirming this attribution. The main page of this article would be improved by citing the authority that attributes this song to him. If he didn't write it, who did? I haven't been able to locate the song, let alone the author. My best guess, however, is that Richard Addinsell wrote it, if only because he wrote the music for the film, including this noteworthy song. 216.99.219.149 (talk) 08:27, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're refering to the music/record played during seance? I've heard this many times over the years.. it's a classic. "Always", written by Irving Berlin.. that all, simple. 2600:1700:A760:C10:A4A6:EF4E:5B40:5DE1 (talk) 19:14, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear Sentence[edit]

The following sentence from the introduction is too long. And that is one of the reasons for it to become unclear. Nobody knows if "according to Coward" refers back to "a disappointing adaptation" or refers to the following chain starting with "it has since come to be considered notable..." Dividing the sentence into two might help; or simply getting more creative with punctuation.

"While unsuccessful at the box office and a disappointing adaptation for the screen, according to Coward, who wrote the screenplay himself, it has since come to be considered notable for its Technicolor photography and Oscar-winning visual effects in particular and has been re-released several times, notably as one of the ten early David Lean features restored by the British Film Institute for release in 2008."
