Comcat editions[edit]

Catalan, thru their 'Comcat' line, was only able to publish 2 Blake and Mortimer albums before they went under. They planned on doing Secret of the Great Pyramid and the Yellow M, but didn't. Unless you have proof they did publish these 2 books (ie, you own them), please stop editing them back in.--Emb021 22:10, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ciel! Blake! / Sky! Mortimer![edit]

I have a copy of Ciel! Blake! / Sky! Mortimer! - an English-French Dictionary of Running Idioms by Jean-Loup Chiflet and published by Mots & Cie in 2000 (ISBN: 2-913588-16-6). It features English and French idioms, each with a literal translation into the other language nicely illustrated with a Blake and Mortimer comic panel, and an equivalent idiom in the other language as well; so for example: under Lapin/Rabbit it says "Il m'a posé un lapin" with the English equivalent idiom being "He stood me up", along with a panel featuring a camel rider looking into the desert and saying "He put me down a rabbit". I have no idea whether the comic panels are extracts from genuine Blake and Mortimer stories but it is an amusing read and maybe worth a mention in the article.

While writing this, I have also found out a second volume was published in 2004, titled Name of a pipe ! / Nom d'une pipe !. Astronaut (talk) 11:17, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I should have Name of a pipe somewhere, but I thought the English examples often felt a bit strained. The English idioms were too rare or archaic to really feel that useful... 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 19:14, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Asterix & Obélix is not a Belgian series[edit]

"Many Belgian comics have had similar themes of confirmed bachelors living together, including Tintin and Captain Haddock, Asterix & Obelix, Spirou & Fantasio, and Tif & Tondu." Asterix & Obelix is in fact a 100% French series. Onaryc (talk) 17:34, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
