Additions made[edit]

I've added quite a bit to the article and tried to improve the citations. The current kakī management plan (2011) is listed on the DOC website as in use but not published, so I've replaced the single reference to it. It would be good to have more information here on the captive breeding programme, perhaps under the Breeding section.

I have a pers. comm. from Nicola Toki of DOC on current black stilt numbers, sent 21 April 2016: "A minimum of 77 wild adult kaki, 43 sub-adults and 18 juveniles were known to be alive during the mark-recapture survey at the end of February 2015." Because I don't think this has been published we can't include it until we find a reference, though she did use the 77 figure in her radio interview, so I've mentioned that.
