Does not tell me what it's about[edit]

Like many Wikipedia entries on books, I find the page is so extremely "meta" that I have learned nothing about this book, except who wrote it, that it is highly reviewed, and that it was viewed as obscene. Why was it obscene? Extreme violence? Criticism of government? Sadomasochism? Where is the book set? When? What makes it important to literature (or even worthy of a Wikipedia page, and don't say "Highly reviewed"). Is the main protagonist male or female? What is the fundamental social commentary the book is making? Why would someone read this book instead of, say, Amistad? Not looking for Cliff Notes here, but this article says so little that if it were Animal Farm, I doubt it would mention that the protagonists are animals. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:40D:8300:1C71:314B:A8EC:BA1F:609F (talk) 17:22, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Crossing the Border (short stories) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 04:51, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
