Shooting of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr. should be merged with this article. The final title is open to discussion, but these are elements of the same event. bd2412 T 18:00, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, and suggest that since the shooting took place on Thursday, that "Black Friday" shouldn't be in the title. --Dystopos (talk) 19:33, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reject. While an accident seems to have occur with regards to the articles, I do not support a merge since one article is detailing the overall shooting while the other article is referring to the second part of the shooting and its aftermath, which seems to be more notable when taking international sources into consideration than the shooting in general. If this merge discussion passes, then I believe that the title would need to be along the lines of "Shooting of Emantic Bradford," again due to the circumstances in the second shooting. --Super Goku V (talk) 23:34, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looking closer at the articles, I will admit that one is significantly lagging behind. While this may potentially end up causing issues for how much space to devote to the first incident, I do believe that there are technical benefits to doing so. --Super Goku V (talk) 08:31, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. They are both aspects of the same event. Unless both articles got too big for each other, then they should be merged per Wikipedia:Article size. Perhaps the article title could be "shootings" to show two shootings happened. FallingGravity 01:20, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as User:FallingGravity writes. (If it grows overlarge, or if the IMPACT or ONGOING of the two aspects of this shooting diverge into separate topics, we can always reconsider.). But this look like a single event that began as a sadly familiar type of shooting, followed by a police response that went notably wrong.E.M.Gregory (talk) 00:29, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, but it should be this article being merged to Shooting of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr. as there are more sources about Bradford's than the shooting itself. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 00:31, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • User:Tbhotch, en-2.5) even though Shooting of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr. is now the better sourced article, because the "other" article was created first, the creator of "Shooting of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr." is coruteously following our usual practice of keeping the first aritcle created about an EVENT, and merging subsequent articles on the same topic into the first one created - this often happens with breaking news event articles, and so astantdatd protocol developed to save arguing over which article to keep. No one is objecting to the idea of just transferring the current contents now located at "Shooting of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr." to the target page. Cheers.E.M.Gregory (talk) 00:55, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Support, the main newsworthy event is the fatal shooting of Bradford. The initial shooting is important context to include, but it's not worthy of an article of its own. If Bradford weren't killed, it would not merit its own article, maybe just a paragraph on the Riverchase Galleria page. Sk5893 (talk) 23:25, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • User:Sk5893. there is no dissent. I think you can go ahead, close this page, and complete the merge.E.M.Gregory (talk) 13:42, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
