Sources: lacking and repeated[edit]

There are large portions of this article that lack sources. For instance, the entire paragraph following the single-sentence intro and the section on mathematical modeling of bioturbation. Some sources that I would suggest adding to the modeling portion of this article would include the works of Boudreau, Berner, and Aller.

I should also note that the article from Meysman et al. 2006 was listed twice in the references (as 1 and 15); while the links differ, they are the same article. Bioturbinator (talk) 03:56, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Read through for clarity and flow. The article reads well and is informative good use of images. Nor major suggestions. Well done. Filloa (talk) 05:08, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Aquatic Bioturbation Expansion[edit]

There seems to be a fairly stark imbalance in the article's focus on terrestrial systems as opposed to aquatic bioturbation. In this section, only sea cucumbers are mentioned as important bioturbators in coral reef habitats; bioturbators have essential roles in a variety of coastal habitats.

You did mention briefly their impacts on geochemical gradients, but there is much room to expand on its importance in different ecosystems with regards to sediment biogeochemistry. For example, their role in estuarine sediments in enhancing organic matter breakdown and even some biogeochemical processes, such as sulfate reduction. Their impact on ecological restoration of sea-grass bed reestablishment may also be something worth mentioning.

Terrestrial Bioturbation[edit]

This section has many grammatical and typographical errors. Sources are limited and repeated. Passive voice is used throughout. It may be worth reorganizing or redrafting this section to improve flow and clarity. Filloa (talk) 03:48, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
