Eugene Dixon[edit]

I have delinked Eugene Dixon as the one who sang with Williams was not the Chicago native who took the stage name Gene Chandler. The Eugene Dixon who joined this quartet was a native of Greenville, N.C., according to Henry T. Sampson (July 2005). Swingin' on the ether waves: a chronological history of African Americans in radio and television programming, 1925-1955. Scarecrow Press. ISBN 9780810840874. Retrieved 1 March 2011. Death Date[edit]

The death date given in the header and the infobox ("1972") does not agree with the death date provided in the article. I am making the change and appending a new citation from the New York Times that agrees with the already cited Los Angeles Times piece that Williams died in 1984, not 1972. The NYT article also states that Williams was buried in St. Charles Cemetary on Long Island whereas the Wiki cites a different source that places his burial in Chicago. The truth on that is harder to divine, especially with a subject that has such a common name as "Billy Williams." So I am leaving that in, for now.Pinikadia 15:53, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
