Subjective material[edit]

Any more promotional content and POV fluff like what was added here will result in the article being protected. This isn't a fansite, it's an encyclopedia. Writing about someone being a "controversy queen" and saying that people are "famous" or "popular" or "uninhibited and fierce" or that they have a "fiery nature", don't belong in articles. We're not here as a wing of the Bigg Boss promotional department tantalising viewers to watch. We're also not here to promote rumours, so any content like that must not be included, and if editors to this article can't police it themselves, the article will be protected. Unnecessary edits and corrections - Semi Protection needed[edit]

I had added the details and required links had been added to the “housemates section” but some user came and erased everything while someone else came and added false information with typos and errors! Please refrain from doing anything if you don’t have the necessary information and way of editing. Harper04 (talk) 18:38, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Weekly Summary[edit]

Can someone please make the horizontal summary in a horizontal format? This one will be too lengthy at the end of the 15th week. Harper04 (talk) 23:09, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mehjabi was also evicted because of double eviction twist so u shud add it! Mr Unknown 572 (talk) 14:19, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, weekly summary updates after it is aired so update this section very quickly. MITTHU KUMAR ARYA (talk) 08:30, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do not add things on your own[edit]

Example: this page has been edited stating Priyank is a wild card entry contestant re entering BB House on October 22. I’m a regular viewer of this show and NOTHING as such has happened! “Dinchak Pooja” has entered the house right now. Harper04 (talk) 21:22, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fansite Warring Since December 2017[edit]

Hi, Since December 2017, there's a war going on regarding weekly summaries and voting histories as done here also, 2 of the users including me got blocked for editing and socking, so I need that war has to be stopped immediately as things have been reinserted since war starts after removing VOTING SUMMARIES and WEEKLY SUMMARIES making these reality show pages and Wikipedia disruptive as REMOVING>INSERTING>REMOVING>INSERTING ....... continuously going on. simply I want this to be stopped, things have to be properly immediately and accurately clarified among fellow wikipedians, after decisions the page has to be locked at once so no body gonna try to edit the pages regarding Bigg Boss and Big Brother related various reality show pages even those show pages that shows scoring boards and nominations charts that resulted to be a victim of fansite. an immediate action has to be taken against the editings done on reality show pages that shows scorings and tallies charts especially Big Brother themed pages. Thank you. CK (talk) 21:43, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Weekly summary, voting history, etc.[edit]

I'm pinging the following editors to this discussion @ScrapIronIV and 2k32k:

In relation to the Bigg Boss (Hindi TV series) articles several section have been constantly removed with WP:FANCRUFT cited but no real discussion has taken place. I'm going to reinstate some of these sections with the reasons below and they should not be removed or reverted without a discussion. The sections I'm reinstating are:

  • Voting history - Every competitive reality TV show has a section similar to this in some shows its known as a nomination table, elimination table, progression table, call out chart (modeling shows), results summary, etc. Do not remove this section based on WP:FANCRUFT alone as that is not a guideline and MOS:TV (which is a guideline) has noting against these kinds of tables while WP:BIGBRO (agreed upon by consensus) actually has guidelines on how the table should be presented. If there is an issue with this table in the Bigg Boss articles then the best solution would be to take the issue to one of the talk pages of the WikiProjects.
  • Weekly Summary - This show airs episodes seven days per week and the editors are using the depreciated weekly summary table that was previously used by WP:BIGBRO. The current consensus is to use Template:Episode list however older sections should remain until they are converted over to using Template:Episode list.

Sections I'm not reinstating at this time are listed below with their reasoning:

  • Guests - This should not be listed in table format instead it should be listed in prose format (see Big Brother (Australian season 8)#House guests as an example). Only guests who entered the House or impacted the game should be mentioned. If a guest was there during a live show to simply promote a film or TV series then it should be mentioned in the summary section in prose (i.e. "Arshi Khan, Krystle D'Souza and Dheeraj Sarna were present at the live finale to promote their new projects Padman and Belan Wali Bahu respectively.) Panelist on Friday Ka Faisla should not be listed in the "Guests" section since they are already listed in the Special episodes section as guests.
  • Nomination count - There was never a discussion at WP:BIGBRO that reached a consensus on these kinds of tables. Because this table has been objected to being included in the article and there is no consensus to include a table like this I am not going to place it back into the article. There is a consensus to place a "Nominations received" column after the final in the voting history. An example of how this column is implemented can be seen here. If editors want to add a "Nominations received" column to the voting history then they are able to do so until another consensus is reached that does not warrant their inclusion.

In a nutshell I'll reinstate voting history and weekly summary as per the reasons above. If the editors are serious about removing sections like the voting history then open a WP:RfC over at WT:TV until then leave it be as long as the editors are adhering to the guidelines established by WP:BIGBRO. Do not remove weekly summary section unless you plan on converting this section over to Template:Episode list since this is a season article after all and there needs to be some sort of summary of the season. Other editors should not reinstate nomination count without a consensus from either WP:TV or WP:BIGBRO and the guests section should be in prose with those guests who actually had an impact on the contestants. Comment All these is what we called a puffery section, guest section is just added for the promotion of movies. Weekly summaries are totally unsourced, will you justify all your these edits with reliable sources? All these fancruft and tables are unsourced. Further more please see WP:OSE. 2k32k (talk) 12:32, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@2k32k: The burden of finding sources for the weekly summary and nomination table/voting history tables is not mine in this case. The reason for this is due to the sections in question were removed with only WP:FANCRUFT as the primary and sole reason. There was no guideline, policy or manual of style cited as the reason for the blanket removal. WP:OSE is not a valid argument in this case when literally every competitive reality TV show has sections similar to the nominations table/voting history. Also like I mentioned the weekly summary section is currently acting in place of the list of episodes which other season articles have. A summary of the season is a key component of a season article. I did leave out Guests and Nomination count as they are pure WP:FANCRUFT and provided an acceptable suggestion if the Guests section was ever reinstated.
If you look at WP:REMOVAL this page clearly advises When removing content from a page, it is important to be sure there is consensus to do so. Specifically in regards to unsourced information there are two instances that warrants a flat out removal of content without discussion.
  • Negative unsourced information about living people shall be removed immediately as per WP:BLP
  • When it is doubtful that there is no sources available for the information your removing then it can be boldly removed.
The information removed does not meet the two instances above as this is a popular TV show in India in one of its official languages so the chances of there being no sources are highly unlikely. Also no one raised any objections to the information on the grounds of WP:BLP. The sections that were reinstated do not go against any manual of style, guideline or policy except for the sole fact they are lacking in sources. In this case editors should have tagged the entire section with {{refimprove}}.
I'm going to leave a notice on Bigg Boss (Hindi season 12) linking to this discussion so editors are more aware of the need to properly cite the information. I'm also going to ping the top contributors to Bigg Boss (Hindi season 12) to this discussion since this affects that article as well since the same sections are lacking reliable sources for the ongoing season.
@Ankushkhanna21, Alexander Xavier Alu, Chirayuvasana, Mayankj429, Helpful14, Sk.kr.1997, Pranesh is here, AR.Dmg, and Cyphoidbomb: Pinging so your aware of this discussion which affects all Bigg Boss (Hindi TV series) season articles and that the current season Bigg Boss (Hindi season 12) also needs more reliable sources for sections like the voting history otherwise it can be challenged by other editors. User:Ravensfire & User:Hellknowz please look at this before adding problems and revert edits where it’s not needed as a user told you before the tables are needed. It’s not fancruft — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.198.146 (talk) 05:26, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
