Page move[edit]

Numbering aberrant rhythms → Bigeminy (move (@subpage)) – I assume that "numbering aberrant rhythms" is an attempt at a generalized term for bigeminy, trigeminy, etc but I've never heard it used and neither has google. The article focuses on bigeminy and should be named as such. Pgcudahy (talk) 10:05, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar and terminology clean-up[edit]

I propose some simple grammar and terminology clean ups here. One, PVC is correctly capitalized but "p wave" is unconventionally lower case. I propose raising the case on all instances to "P wave". Also, if the acronym of premature ventricular contraction or PVC is used, the corresponding acronym of premature atrial contraction or PAC should also be used, as opposed to APC which is present here.

Propose changing this to a Bigeminy and Trigeminy page[edit]

Ventricular trigeminy currently has no page of its own. However the physiological mechanism and diagnostic pathways are essentially the same as bigeeminy, hence I don't think it warrants its own page. SO I propose retitling this page "Ventricular Bigeminy And Trigeminy" and adding a section on trigeminy here.

Merge proposal[edit]

Actually, Bigeminal pulse is a duplicate article of the more substantial Pulsus bigeminus. The obvious course of action would be to summarily merge these two. However, I propose being bold enough and merging both to Bigeminy. A combined search of "bigeminal pulse" and "pulsus bigeminus" in PubMed returns ten results, whose median year of publication is 1965. Bigeminal pulse is included in clinical diagnostic handbooks,^[1] but it is so closely associated to the underlying rhythm disturbance, bigeminy, that in my opinion it does not warranty an article of its own. Merge with Pulsus bigeminus into Bigeminy - Pulsus bigeminus also appears to be a duplicate article. Also supporting the merge into "Bigeminy" as Google Scholar has the most results for "Bigeminy" at 15,900 results, versus "Bigeminal pulse" at 252 and "Pulsus bigeminus" at 903. -- Primium (talk) 17:59, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
