Alberta Centennial Medal[edit]

The subject of this article appears to be in the list of recipients of the Alberta Centennial Medal, which was awarded in 2005. Can anyone confirm if the subject of this article is the same person as on the list? —GrantNeufeld 09:00, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Political Party[edit]

Shouldn't his political party be listed as the Alberta Progressive Conservatives? That was the party banner he was elected under in 2004. --Knave 21:01, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Except he will be sitting in the federal parliament, so he will have to be a member of a federal party. --Arctic Gnome (talkcontribs) 01:38, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see no particular reason why; McCoy and others sit in the Parliament and represent a party that does not exist. Stan Waters (technically) took his seat as a Reform Party of Alberta senator - not the federal party. Knave 20:12, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline from article[edit]

I have moved this section of the article to the talk page in the hope that the relevant info included could be worked back into the article in a more appropiate way. The section looks like a copy and paste job from another site. It is out of place in the early life section, has a format that is all over the place, not to mention the bad grammar and spelling mistakes. Some of the info is important and should be included, but in a format that is in step with the format already being followed in the article.

You can complain all you want but as of right now, the TWO separate bios are being included in the article. TWO BIOS are better than one. Make any edit to either of the TWO OFFICIAL BIOS, and I will see that you are banned for good for vandalism. You should be ashamed for editing the good work of other editors.CaptainHulk (talk) 03:03, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Editing the good work of other editors" is exactly how Wikipedia works and why it is so successful. I strongly encourage you to reconsider what you've said. There are often multiple interpretations which could work their way into an article. You should try to resolve your differences instead of being so adamant with your version. Please remember that you cannot act as if you are the owner of an article, and everyone should contribute to an article to better the whole. Limitation of edits will only be met with poor quality, poorly reviewed articles. --Mpdelbuono (talk) 03:12, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
