Why repeat Burgdof's drunken rant in many articles related to the Bunker's occupants? Is that necessary?

Was he ever *tried* for war crimes?

The article says simply that he was never found guilty of any war crimes…was he even tried for any, or was he tried and found innocent? Anglo-Saxons are obsessed with Nazism, maybe that explains Adolf Trump

Here we have an article about a top Bundeswehr general, but the content is a single rant about his youth in WW2 when he was an unimportant junior officer who happened to meet Adolf Hitler. Do you know how many people met Hitler at one point or another? Who cares? Would you obsessed Anglo-Saxons write an article about Albert Einstein describing in whole length that he once saw the Kaiser, and simply add "And later, he became a famous scientist"?
