Sooo much misreading[edit]

Per Google, there seem to be a ton of websites that have copied the misinformation from this article, but (a) his name was "Bernard Grun" or "Bernhard Grün" but not "Bernard Grün"; (b) he was (ethnically) Austrian German, not "Czech" or "Moravian" (the obit's "Czech-born" is rather pointedly not "Czech"); (c) he apparently died in Berlin, not London. (The obit says his London-based agent's reported the death, not that he was actually in London at the time.) — LlywelynII 01:44, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Striking (c) on the assumption that the OEML did their homework and didn't copy us or fall for the same misreading of the news report. Odd that the German Wiki thinks it was Berlin, though. — LlywelynII 02:51, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Other mistakes[edit]

The German article gives the numbers as 26 musicals and around 50 film scores but without a source more definite than "his publisher Verlages Langen Müller". The AP obit is probably wrong but it's at least a source, so we should leave its numbers until something else comes along. — LlywelynII 02:21, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
