Slavery[edit]

I infer from the statement that he bought a large farm near Williamsburg that he was a slaveowner, but IMHO that relationship needs clarification. I've worked on the articles of both previous W&M presidents, who apparently got into trouble for opposing the "peculiar institution", but don't know when or if I'll have time to work on this article.Jweaver28 (talk) 10:09, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
