Location[edit]

The page on Deneb Algedi says that it is located in Capricornus and not in Pisces. (same for others) These apparent contradictions could lead to confusion in a reader who's not familiar with astrology or zodiac locations versus constellation locations or who is not familiar with notation in format: "5 Pisces 18". A short clarification by by an expert in Astrology_and_astronomy would be a nice addition to this article. I'm not one so I'll throw up a note pointing to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precession_of_the_equinoxes
and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equinox

I've clarified the "location" note to explain that these are the locations in celestial longitude, the system used in astrology. I've updated the link to point instead to Ecliptic coordinate system, appropriate for this article. Ken McRitchie (talk) 02:17, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that ecliptic longitudes are measured relative to the First Point of Aries (although I do not see how such longitudes can be termed 'relativistically fixed' as this is obviously not an inertial reference system), so they apply for a certain epoch. It would be useful to add the epoch for which these longitudes are supposed to be correct. AstroLynx (talk) 07:26, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
