Further information of the death. I am the son of the person who died and was on board. It was my father's and my first time crewing on the boat it was a twin bilge keel version. Our own boat was a Hartley 21 a fraction rig compared to a masthead rig. When it capsized it sat on it side for a about a minute before going completely upside down. I was in the cockpit and moved into the cabin to get out of the way when on its side. It may have been the first time either my dad or the owner had been through a complete knockdown.

The boat was righted and towed to waiheke island
