Lists of battle royals[edit]

Would anyone object to actual lists of battle royals (participants, eliminations, winners) being added here to this page? I collect tons of them from WWE, WWF and even WCW so can toss them together pretty quick. It'd be far from a complete list but it's something different I guess... --SLWalsh 16:37, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • LOL, I actually just came here because I was thinking about doing that for WWF/WWE! Go for it. DX927 21:41, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • This is sorta old, DX927. But if this person is still an editor, I wouldnt suggest it. He said himself it wouldnt be complete, and unless we find somebody who could complete it, it would make no sense. --Harvey "Two-Face" Dent (Muhaha!!) 17:08, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of "battle royale"[edit]

Suggestion for improvement: add info on the origins and history of "Battle Royales" in wrestling RaiderRich2001 (talk) 03:34, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In-universe[edit]

This article seems primarily to be written from an "in-universe" perspective -- i.e., the universe in which professional wrestling is a competitive sport, rather than the reality of its consisting of staged, theatrical exhibitions. Per WP:UNIVERSE , it should be rewritten to reflect actual reality. -Waidawut (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 21:29, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not needed. All this article does is describe all the various kinds of matches there are and their different formats/gimmicks/rules. Nothing "in-universe" about it. Vjmlhds (talk) 18:57, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Structure[edit]

There's literally two sentences in this article describing the concept of a battle royal and then a huge amount of detail on "variations". Surely there must be more to say about the general concept - when were they first held, for example? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 11:07, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
