Reviewer: QatarStarsLeague (talk · contribs) 15:32, 19 August 2013 (UTC) Interesting article. Review will proceed soon. QatarStarsLeague (talk) 15:32, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lead & infobox[edit]

I question the need to wikilink war contributions, but, aside from this, the sections pass.

War contributions were an important way of financing the war effort in the modern age. I think it's worth leaving the link.

Background[edit]

"...thoug he managed to take Axel." Please fix typo

Done.

The rest passes.

Battle[edit]

"...defended by Count Herman van den Bergh with some men, but without success" Please as a period and fix the spelling error.

Done.

"...Albanian captain Nicolao Basta and Evangelista de las Cuevas..." These commanders are Albanian?

Basta was Albanian, Evangelista Spanish.

The rest, along with the aftermath section, of the section passes.

Conclusion[edit]

Very few issues with this article. Excellent work and congratulations! QatarStarsLeague (talk) 03:12, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Copyediting needed[edit]

This article reads like it was not written by a native speaker of English. There are a number of spelling and grammatical errors.

  • York told Leicester that he knew well the kind of warfare practized by the Spanish
  • During the confussion...
  • Sidney allegedly had removed his cuisses when he saw that William Pelham did not wear their owns.
  • this, instead of Sidney's solidarity toward his companion, costed his life.

There are more, but I don't have time to find them. I don't see how this article was promoted to GA status. howcheng {chat} 05:45, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
