contradictory numbers reported[edit]

This article doesn't declare the same number of soldiers as the Old Zürich War. I'm tempted to say that the most modest estimate is the right one, but I'm no historian so I won't edit this article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ruijoel (talkcontribs) 14:53, 2 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Notes
This article is not correct at all. Even the numbers are wrong -> Check out german articel. It where 40'000 french soldiers with 6000 casualties.
Several other things are also missing like the fact that the 1'500 where only an advance party.
Then the fact that this battle was even remembered in the old swiss national hyme and the legend of the french commander which entered the hospital after the battle and was killed by a swiss which threw a stone at his head.
There is the problem with sources: which one is correct. The number of casualties in the english article is different to the one in german wikipedia (maybe based on swiss sources) and again different to the french sources: 4000 casualties on the side of thhe french ´ecocheurs´ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.6.154.161 (talk) 11:04, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
