Battle Box[edit]

How do you add the battles of the Mesopotamian Campaign to the battlebox?

New Campaignbox[edit]

How it works is that by referencing "campaign=Mesopotamian" it will automatically bring in the Mesopotamian Campaign in at the bottom. The campaignbox is at Template:Campaignbox_Mesopotamian and there's more info at Wikipedia:WikiProject Battles. It's a bit fiddly and it wasn't helped by me constantly misspelling Mesopotamia.

Fall of Baghdad currently redirects to the 2003 events so we should add a disambiguation page when we get to it.

This is great stuff so far, everyone! Let's complete the Mesopotamian Campaign! Ben-w 17:14, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Campaignbox==

I just fixed up the Campaignbox. The Battle of Ctesiphon and Siege of Kut were after the first five battles of the Kut relief operations and before the last one. Ctesiphon forced a retreat to Kut where the Division was then besieged. So I fixed the battle order.

Also, I made it so that Fall of Baghdad doesn't go to the 2003 battle. But you should still make a disambiguation page just in case somebody types in Fall of Baghdad in the General Search Box.

I also added in the rear guard action fought during the retreat to Kut.

Could someone please put a picture in the battlebox.

It's beginning to take shape.

Ammendments[edit]

Hey, just saying that Ctesiphon was the Sassanid capital, not the Parthian capital! Might want to change that...

Spelling of the Pasha's Name[edit]

I changed some instances of "Nurettin" to "Nureddin". It looks like the Turkish spelling is "Nurettin" but since his Wikipedia entry and also other articles use "Nureddin", I changed it for consistency. TresÁrboles (talk) 19:00, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Veterans or newly raised?[edit]

The Turkish 51st Division is mentioned twice here. First it is newly raised and then a veteran division. Was it really so that she was both?213.71.6.130 (talk) 09:22, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
