Entries[edit]

I don't think we need to list all of the Batman projects listed here. A disambiguation page is for those who might be looking for "batman" and should only reflect those items that realistically could be referred to simply as "batman". This would include the character and the 1966 and 1989 movies, for instance, but not sequels or additional titles (like "Batman & Robin"). Rhindle The Red 13:00, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. Why not list all the sequels with an extra level of indentation (e.g. see the Godfather trilogy at the Godfather disambiguation page)? It doesn't affect the readability of the page. WatchAndObserve (talk) 06:15, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Because this is a disambiguation page, not an article. Each of those items in the Godfather page are parts of a work titled "The Godfater". The other Batman films are not referred to as "Batman", so do not belong on a disambiguation page. Rhindle The Red (talk) 13:50, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We don’t have movies (or anything) known as Batman part 2 or Batman 2, etc. We do have some known as Batman: Something Something, but those generally aren’t referred to as “Batman” alone. —67.14.236.50 (talk) 01:32, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Another Batman[edit]

I want to make an article for "Batman" a Ghanaian recording artist who is HUGE in Ghana, how would I go about separating his article from the other batman articles —Preceding unsigned comment added by TotallyTempo (talkcontribs) 07:22, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You need to add a qualifier to the title; "Batman (singer)" maybe. Go ahead! Swanny18 (talk) 18:28, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The batman movie is the greatest of all times. Teemane (talk) 14:52, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Learn from Harry Potter[edit]

This page List of Harry Potter related topics has solved the problem (for HP) of what to include in a dab page and what to leave out. I wonder if now would be a good moment to start a similar page for Batman ... List of Batman relate topics. Abtract (talk) 23:27, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, List of Batman related topics could be one way of solving this matter. However, the article Batman computer and video games already appears to have taken care of it. Batman: Arkham Asylum shouldn't even be mentioned here ... Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 21:02, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like a good idea. This page is pretty cluttered at present, and moving the Super-hero related items to its own page would be a big improvement. If there are no objections I'll do that when time permits. Swanny18 (talk) 18:40, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, done. The new page is here. Swanny18 (talk) 20:22, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Partial title matches?[edit]

How many of the entries here (I’m particularly looking at the § Places entries) were only added because “Batman” is in the name (a partial title match)? See also MOS:DABNOENTRY. If for instance Batman Highway is often referred to as simply “Batman,” then fine, but is it? How many of these are? —67.14.236.50 (talk) 03:10, 3 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

On a related note, has anyone else heard people refer to Batman Begins as simply Batman? I could have sworn I had, but its entry was removed. —67.14.236.50 (talk) 03:57, 3 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I’ve removed the list of alternate Batman characters, and moved the list article to § See also, because the primary topic covers the superhero aspect. —67.14.236.50 (talk) 05:48, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
