Largest city?[edit]

According to List of cities in Equatorial Guinea, as of 2005 Bata has a significantly larger population than Malabo. Even the Malabo article states that although it is the capital, it isn't the largest city. Could someone rewrite to reflect that Bata does appear now to be the largest? Bozhich[edit]

Somebody inserted in the lead section a false (but humorous) information that the real name of the city is "City of Bozhich Bata" (Božić Bata is Serbo-Croatian version of Santa Claus). And it stood like that for almost a year! I removed it now. Vanjagenije (talk) 20:02, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some unregistered users (or maybe one user: User:2a00:c440:20:27e:4eb:c0e:6939:58bd and User:129.240.83.175) are constantly vandalizing the article by reverting my edit and putting back the "Bozhich Bata" stuff. I brought the case to the WP:ANI and the article is semi-protected now. Please do not try this again. If you think I'm wrong and the city's name is indeed "City of Bozhich Bata", use this discussion and bring some evidence, do not act as vandal. Vanjagenije (talk) 16:03, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is Bata or Malabo larger?[edit]

It seems that either Bata or Malabo might appear to be the largest city in the country depending on which year's estimate or census data you look at. Do any domain experts know of the most recent time that both cities had their populations estimated in the same year? Stelercus (talk) 02:55, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
