Can any one make the sequence of Bast Fibers in terms of Use and Cultivation. The first one is Jute as far as I know.

Phloem or Sclerenchyma?[edit]

This article says that bast comes from Phloem.

The cross-section diagram in Ground tissue suggests that Sclerenchyma is where bast fibre comes from. The article on Phloem does not list bast. DHR (talk) 01:57, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
