The name B+ show[edit]

Could we get an etymology or background story of the B+ Show name meaning, just not clear in English — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.34.51.82 (talk) 23:52, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here you are. I finally found a source for that. I think NPR is okay. Keφr 17:20, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bassem Youssef (television host)Bassem Youssef – The target title is occupied by an inappropriate WP:TWODABS disambiguation page and the television host[1] appears to be far more notable than Bassem Youssef (FBI agent).[2] Therefore it would seem more appropriate for the subject to be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Tanbircdq (talk) 00:00, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per Primary topic. --Al Ameer (talk) 00:45, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Primary topic and WP:UNDAB. Per WP:TWODABS we can also delete the dab page and just make this one hatnote link to the FBI agent. --B2C 05:27, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - firstly WP:TWODABS doesn't say there can't be two topics on a dab, it says the exact opposite, that there can be. Secondly Google Books are about 50/50. If anything from books this looks like a classic case for WP:TWODABS not against it. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:32, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Correction, they aren't 50/50, they are about 70/30 in favour of the FBI agent 232 but then the FBI agent became notable in 2006, the Egyptian broadcaster is WP:RECENT. Naturally the WP:RECENT article will be viewed massively more times. Which is why we don't go by recent page views alone. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:29, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - Regardless of the ratio on Google Books: the FBI Agent's Wikipedia article has only been viewed 235 times in the page 90 days, whereas the television host's article has been viewed 23562 times (over 100 times more) therefore clearly dominates views and much more frequently sought. Tanbircdq (talk) 10:30, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Tanbircdq, article traffic does seem to show the host as primary topic. It's pretty hard to guess how many of the Google books hits refer to the TV host, but a search for ""Bassem Youssef" -FBI" returns 2/3 of the original ~600 book hits, with most of the top results then referring to the TV host. benmoore 23:44, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Tanbircdq and per Primary topic. Ithinkicahn (talk) 00:45, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

"Rose to fame in 2023..."[edit]

I removed an unattributed claim in the lead stating that he "rose to fame in 2023" as a result of an interview with Piers Morgan. This is incompatible with the (also mentioned in the article) statement that 10 years before this he had been included in Time's list of 100 most influential people. Additionally, this statement had been introduced explicitly spelling "israel" with a lower case i (that this was deliberate is evidenced by the fact that it was piped over a properly written page). This is a not-so-subtle statement against Israel that is not acceptable here. If someone wants to go into his interview with Morgan and add its reception to the article, feel free, but this is not the way. Cheers. Ostalgia (talk) 17:29, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Update Photo[edit]

This photo of Youssef is kinda old. I request for it to be changed to a more recent one. 76.65.45.114 (talk) 08:32, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The lead needs updating[edit]

I added information to the lead so it is current since right now it is significantly outdated. However, User:Fragrant Peony reverted the content incorrectly proclaiming it is "spam" when it's essential information. The lead does not mention his arrest, move to the United States, nor worth since then. The last credit in the lead was a show he did a decade ago. Thoughts users?
