Recommend more sources[edit]

Good job, but this seems to rely heavily on one 1938 account of the skirmishes during the Bannock War. It might be useful to look for more recent sources, if nothing else, to compare the approach. Some recent historians may have gathered oral histories from the Bannock, for instance, that would account for their casualties.Parkwells (talk) 20:42, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Role of Paiute?[edit]

They are hardly mentioned, and it is hard to understand their role or how significant they were.Parkwells (talk) 20:53, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Strength and casualties[edit]

Have estimated low end of regimental strength, and added up deaths as noted in article (some or several, estimated at about 5). Parkwells (talk) 21:46, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Need info about Paiute in Nevada[edit]

More info about Paiute in Nevada and OR needs to be added, because, according to articles Sarah Winnemucca, Malheur Reservation, and others, they were involved in the war or at least affected by it - to the extent that many were interned on the Yakama Reservation, and their lives in OR and NV were disrupted. Sarah and 3 others of her family went to Washington, DC to lobby for the release of their Paiute people from Yakama.Parkwells (talk) 14:38, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do we still need a "Sources needed" tag?[edit]

I see a {{sources}} banner, from Feb. 2014. It looks like the number of footnotes at that time was similar to now (37), so I'm a little surprised to find the banner at all. I see a distribution of footnotes that seems about right to me. Are there specific claims or sections that need better sourcing, or is this banner something we can dispense with? -Pete Forsyth (talk) 03:43, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
