Geoffrey Keating as Gael[edit]

It is factually incorrect to describe Seatrun Ceitinn as a 'Gael'. He was of Cambro-Norman descent and would have been associated with the 'Old English', that is those who settled prior to the reformation, as distinct from the Protestant 'New English. The term Gaelic here refers , not to Ceitinn's 'identity' but to his studies of Irish (Gaelic) history and culture. RashersTierney (talk) 23:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Laurel Lodged (talk) 21:04, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good. I've de-linked it. RashersTierney (talk) 02:37, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'The Ballylooby Horse'[edit]

Anyone know if this apparently late 19c American-Irish comic military song, as referenced here and here is connected to this village? Anyone know where to access the lyrics? Apparently, it contained the refrain
"Every man provides his donkey
In the Ballylooby Horse"
